In the beginning...

Hello.  My name is Amy Robertson and I am a Junior at Emporia State University where I am studying Elementary Education.  I am very excited for the next two years and even more excited to begin teaching.  I chose to become a teacher after winning my battle with cancer.  While I was sick, I realized what was important in life.  To me, that was make a positive impact in the lives of children.  Primarily, I would like to teach any grade but do tend to enjoy the younger grades (K-3) a little more.  I do not have a preference on what I teach, but I do enjoy reading and science.

  1. Life changing experiences do help us refocus on what we want to do with the rest of our life. Yours was a major one indeed. K-3 are challenging students - but - fun to work with. You will be excited and happy when you get your own classroom so that you can be a model and yet mold their young minds and behaviors.
